Yay for another fun day! Yesterday started off with me waking up late. I had had to wake up early so I could finish my project. So I figured I'd glue the pieces of paper on and draw the stuff on during lunch. Seemed easy enough.
After I'd done that, I noticed it was held off the paper from the glue. So I smushed it down with my hand. When my hand left the paper, I noticed the smear of glue I had left, so I dried to wipe it off. That dried it to the paper, leaving the smear permanent. And no time to change it. I held up my kindergarten-level english project. A-plus for sure!
I stuffed it in my back-pack and rifled through my stuff to make sure I had everthing. then I came to my math binder and remembered I had math homework. So I shoved it in the 80-pound books I carried everyday that wouldn't fit in my 80- pound back-pack, and got my 80-pound stupid ass on the bus to school. I barely finished my math homework on the way there.
When I got to my second period, math, I handed in my paper. My teacher, the great guy that he is, didn't take it. However, the girl in front of me, who was also absent friday, got her homework taken no problem. Go him. I did what I always did, sat there quietely and pretended it didn't bother me because I'm a tool like that. It's how I roll.
Then gym. No gymshorts. Unprepared. Woo. 4th period was fine, then on to fifth. Spanish. We had our essay finals that day. I was unaware. Also, our teacher had decided it was unimportant until the school-day before the essay, the day I was absent, to give out a crucial thing to say, what of, I don't know. This means I should plan to drop a letter grade or so in Spanish.
Excellent. Then lunch, where I hastily finished up my kindergarten project with everyone staring at me, and my supply of crayons, construction paper, and glue, over my food. I presented it fine and it meant near nothing. Yay effort! When I got home, I expected there to be someone to be there to pick me up, like there normally was on rainy days, but nope, not now. The girl that lives across the street from however, had her mom to pick her up. They didn't offer me a ride. I walked home in the rain, appropriate to the rest of my day. Now today.
Got up late again. Same as every day. I went through my daily routine up until fifth period. My Spanish teacher explained to us that we would have our essay final counted on our fourth marking period grade. Yay, now I have to take the actual final for spanish, which I know I'm going to fail. Then Lunch.
My Lunch table I set up in a way that all the guys sit on one end, and all the girls sit on the other. we aren't anti-social or anything, the guys and girls that want to talk to each other talk in the middle, we just sit like that for some unexplained reason. Today however, one of the girl's boyfriends came over because she asked him to. His name is Luke. I do not like him. Everyone else apparently does. Yipee.
The next hour was spent listening to him and the 'not as gifted' guys make stupid about each other's moms, while the girls sat blissfully un-aware to what he was saying and swooned over him, while I sat at the end of the table making gagging noises to myself and the two other guys who had some brains aswell.
My math teacher said he couldn't come into the cafeteria for me to make up the quiz I missed, which I found weird as he did it every other day. So, I stayed after. I found it was a very easy test, and finished it in aroun six minutes, as did the other kids who had missed it. we all left to go to other rooms we were allowed to be in. I didn't know where any of my friends were, so I went to the library, since that where a lot of people went. Hopefully some people I knew would be there. They were, and they were playing apples to apples.
After an odd game of apples to apples, it was time to go home. I got my late bus pass and realized i didnt know which bus I had to take. So I waited for people that lived near me to get on a bus. After I saw some, I followed and found the only seat left on the bus. It was next to two strange gothic kids who were on about twilight and the night before christmas. I was wearing a black shirt, so I was welcomed with open claws.
I sat quietly as the girls behind our seat made fun of the three of us. I walked home alone, once again, and got to my house. I went to pull out my key to my house. No key. Not a problem, I thought, I'll just call someone to come bring me a spare, they'd do that right? They probably would have to, had my phone not been dead. So I waited at my bottom step, smacking my head against the pavement for a good five minutes. then I got up, losing all care of parental anger, and prepared to smash the window on my door open. I readied my head and read the note on the door.
Dear Chris, You forgot your key, it's under the mat, Love mom. I bent down, picked up the key from under the mat opened the door, nearly cried a little, then tripped on the way in and faceplanted into the table by my door, dropping all my things.
-FML, Chris Costello.
